Access Statement

Tregynon's remote 14th Century Farmhouse Restaurant is set in an unique location perched on the edge of the spectacular Gwaun Valley in the foothills of the Preseli mountains. In the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and approached by its own half-mile gravelled drive off a minor country lane, Tregynon is a nature lovers paradise. Unless a hardened walker or cyclist, with the nearest public transport several miles distant a car is essential.

Tregynon is non-smoking throughout.

The 14th Century Farmhouse Restaurant of Tregynon has direct and level access from the gravelled drive (2 yards) to its front entrance door (800mm wide) into a small hallway. The restaurant, lounge and disabled toilet facilities are all on the ground floor with access to all of these facilities through doors and corridors with a minimum width of 800mm.

Steeped in history and set within a National Park, all renovations and landscaping have been done as sympathetically as possible to be in keeping with the natural environment. As a consequence our grounds, with grass paths and lawns following the contours of the surrounding undulating landscape, combine with two large naturalised ponds, a 200ft waterfall, an iron-age fort and ancient forest. In recognition for all that we have done in this respect, we are very proud to have won the coveted Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Award.
